Stephen Quirk is a Maine-based content creator.

In 2010, Stephen started Factory Portland, a site dedicated to music in and around Maine.  Through Factory Portland he consulted on album packaging, marketing needs, website content and building, video, and more.

From 2014-2018, he was an Events Wrangler at Automattic, Inc. (home of WordPress.com and other WordPress products).  Previously he worked in the Technology Department at Maine College of Art.

His work “One Flesh: Documenting Gender, Sex and Sexuality“, which explores gender identity in the 21st century, was included in “Gender Queer / Queer Genders: Conversations Among Artists, Activists & Academics” held at The University of California, Santa Barbara.  This conference examined the relationships between disability, gender, race, region, class, and other identities.  “One Flesh” has also been shown at The Portland Museum of Art, Institute of Contemporary Art at the Maine College of Art and Filament Gallery in Portland.

He is a graduate of the Maine College of Art where he interned with two local photographers.  Stephen also spent a semester abroad at the Burren College of Art in Ballyvaughan, County Clare, Ireland.

He lives in Maine with with wife and two children.
